Our Regular Meetings

What our Meetings Looked Like
What our Meetings Looked Like

We met at Pizzaville for quite a while. We are meeting at a private location now. To respect everyone's time, meetings begin at 6:30 sharp. Because we are in informal organization and don't handle money, the business portion of the meeting is very short; often 5 minutes or less. Unless its a planning meeting, we always have a speaker.

We have met every candidate for the down ballot races. Here you see Dan Engle who ran for the 4th district County Council seat.

We usually come early and eat before the speakers arrive. Pizzaville has great food, large portions and reasonable prices. This has also given us the chance to meet and get to know one another.

When we are out of campaign season, we invite people to talk from the municipality and special interest groups. One evening Kathy Fox came and talked about environmental activism in the Lehigh Valley. Environmental issues are particuarly important in Moore Township as we value our rural life.

Now, we get around 10 people. We had an average turn out of 15 to 20 for normal meetings before COVID. We filled the restaurant once. 15 to 20 is good because it doesn't overwhelm the restaurant while making the speaker feel there were enough people to make the drive worthwhile.

Meeting with Local Officials

We have invited Moore Township officials twice. Its a great opportunity to sit down at the table and really get questions answered. Meetings have been respectful and a great way to find out what was rumor and truth. It is a great alternative to attending every Board of Supervisors meeting to know what is really going on!
